CHRISTOPHER, Karen Marlene (nee Heise) Suddenly, at PRHC on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at the age of 73. Beloved wife of Andrew Christopher. Loving mother of Helena Van de Guchte (Bruce) and Suzanna Christopher. Proud grandmother of Ben and Tom Christopher and Gillian Moulton. Dear sister of Donald (Saundra) and Brenda Heise and the late Ceinwin Heise. Predeceased by her father Joseph Heise, mother Edna Smith and stepfather Herrick Smith. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and relatives. Karen was a kind and generous person, giving her time to many friends and opening her home to many rescue cats and dogs. An avid gardener Karen loved plants and flowers. She loved helping and teaching others. Her great love was her family, and she was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. The family will receive friends at Comstock-Kaye Life Celebration Centre, 356 Rubidge Street on Thursday, May 9th from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service in the Chapel at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be offered to the Lakefield Animal Welfare Society.
