Karen HOFFMAN Obituary

HOFFMAN, Karen Karen died peacefully on July 23, 2019 at Hospice Peterborough at the age of 61. Karen was a loving mother to daughters Keegan and Carmen Plant, and wife of Paul Plant. She will be lovingly remembered by brothers Bob (Barb), John (Holly), and Jim (Joanne). Predeceased by her parents Marg and Bill Hoffman. Dear daughter-in-law to Isabel Plant and the late Cliff Plant. Remembered by aunts and uncles Lucille (Cecil) McBeth, Barb (Michael) Shepherd, and their families. Fondly remembered by nieces and nephews Brie (Aurel), Carey (Laila), Riley (Kristen), Jesse, Aaron (Cydney), Wesley (Trish), Meredith, Robin, Claire and Cameron. Karen, long-time teacher with the KPR School Board and volunteer with St. James Players, had a special gift for bonding with and encouraging young people in her community. She reluctantly learned to love family canoe and camping trips with lifelong adventure buddies Charlie, Christine, Katie, Abby and Claire. We will all miss her irreverent sense of humour, her kind, easy-going nature and zest for life.
