Lillian Dolores CROCKER

Beloved wife of the late Cliff (d.1987) Lil died peacefully at Centennial Place, Millbrook on Thursday, April 6, 2023, age 98 years the last surviving member of the 10 children of the late John and Nina (Doughty) Martin - 'The Golden Girls'. Fondly remembered by sister-in-law Joan Martin (Jack d. 2019). Predeceased by Fred (Vi), Ruth Ferguson (Ernie Sr.), Bill (Kay), Tom (Jean), Freda Goddard (Perc), Bid Robertson (George), Dorothy, Jack, and Lona Millen (Johnny). Lovingly remembered by 19 nieces and nephews (5 generations). Lil was inducted into the Peterborough and District Sport Hall of Fame (2002). She was honoured not only for her lawn bowling skills, but also coaching, umpiring and promoting the game in Peterborough and across Canada. She was joined in the Hall of Fame by her sister Ruth Ferguson (Ernie Sr.) in 2019. A long time resident of St. John's Centre, Lil's family wish to thank all of the staff for the 'special care' so willingly given, and also the special T.L.C. at Millbrook Centennial Place for the past 3 years. A Celebration of Lil's life will take place at Highland Park Funeral Centre on Friday, April 14th, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. with visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Reception and interment to follow.
