Mark Riddell Obituary

Born in PEI in 1952, Mark Gordon Riddell died August 10, 2022 in Costa Rica. He was the beloved husband of Elana Millman, dear father to Anna (Liam) and Julian (Ayendri) and loving grandfather to Adina and Surekha. He will be missed by his siblings Craig, Jenny, Liz, Martha, and Alex and their families and by his brother (predeceased) Graeme's family. His loss will be felt by family and friends, including his spiritual family. Mark was a skilled Cranial Sacral therapist who worked in Toronto and Peterborough for thirty years with clients and colleagues he highly valued. He was an avid and expert canoeist who was happiest being in nature. His wilderness trips took him to the Yukon, Labrador, and northern Quebec and Ontario. He was a devoted member of his Church and helped many people with his kind and loving heart. Mark was a good and gentle man who was taken too soon and who was truly loved.

In recognition of his love and appreciation of nature, donations in his name may be made to the Kawartha Land Trust.

We only just heard of Mark´s passing. Our deepest condolences and love sent to Elana and his whole family. He was one of the best and I felt truly blessed honored to have known such a loving sensitive kind spirit. We both knew him threw the church but I also knew Mark personally as probably the best cranial therapist I have ever worked with and I have experienced the top ones in Toronto. Elana, we did not know you that well but our hearts are flooded with much love for you and your loss at this time. Also to Liz his sister whom we also know. We are so sorry to hear of your brother. Both of you such beautiful souls I can only imagine the rest of your family. May you all find some Peace and Comfort through each other and all the love sent from all the many souls whose lives Mark touched so deeply. Elizabeth Natale, Rob Jarvis

We were so shocked and saddened to hear of Mark´s passing. What a beautiful and gentle person he was. We were grateful clients of his for over twenty years. He had a natural curiosity and love of life, a profound connection to the natural world and a deeply generous spirit. He spoke often of and had a great love for all his family. Please accept our sincere and heartfelt condolences.

Very shocked and sorry to hear of Mark's passing. I was able to coach Mark into the realm of music, while in turn he selflessly came to our aid at a time of health crisis. Our condolences to Elana and Anna and Julian and all the rest of family and friends. A truly great soul!

Meek was such a kind, gentle healing presence. He took his calling to heart. I was so appreciative of his care when he was willing to come out to my house after my catastrophic car accident to help me heal. I was also honoured to look after Bamboo for some weekends.
