I met Monte some 26 years ago at an ad hoc music jam session just down the street from my house, I had just moved to Peterborough for the second time. We have been friends ever since, he played drums in my jazz quartet "Felix and the Swing Cats" for many years and also in several other bands as well. He was a great drummer, he could play jazz equally as well as he could backing country groups, however he was very modest about his talent. I have always respected him as a fine musician, a friend, and a gentleman. I will certainly miss him. My condolences goes out to Norma and his whole family. May he Rest In Peace.
