Norman JOHNSON Obituary
September 4, 1939 - April 29, 2022
Norm passed peacefully at PRHC Palliative Care Unit. Norm is predeceased by his wife Linda Johnson ( Mitchell), ex-wife Shirley Wagar, his girlfriend Mary Scott by his parents Charlie and Dorothy Johnson, his brothers Allan and Eric, and his sister Donna Downer, grandson Cameron Coulas sister-in-law Daisy Johnson.
Left to cherish his memory is daughters Barbara Connolly Derring (Tony), Joanne (Coulas) Johnson (Tiny), Mary Babcock, son Norman Johnson (Jenn), and beloved grandchildren; Alexandria Vandermeer, Adam Babcock (Danielle), Amanda Babcock (Shane), Angelica Coulas, Sarah Connolly, Meghan Johnson, Emma Johnson, Blair Allenson, David Allenson and great-grandchildren Ben Coulas, Adrian Coulas, Nova Babcock, Ivan Babcock and Wren Vandermeer. Norm leaves behind his siblings, Clifford Johnson, Morley Johnson (Kathy), Wilma Flannigan (John), Doug Johnson and his girlfriend Nancy Edwards.
Norm was a big kid at heart and his nieces, nephews, adored him along with the their friends and the children of his close friends. He was known for his friendliness, teaching many to swim in his pool. Whatever he set his mind too he was determined to get done. Some could say strong willed and even stubborn. He was the self-proclaimed "World's Greatest Brick Mason". And his handiwork can be seen throughout Peterborough, Peterborough County, City of Kawartha Lakes, and Durham Region.
Norm touched so many people in his life and made a difference to so many.
There will be a celebration of life on Monday, May 9, 2022 at 11:00 - 1:00 at Nisbett's Funeral Home 600 Monaghan Road Peterborough.
A huge thank you to the 5th floor Dialysis team for all of their kindness and support they have given to Norm over the past 7 years, Dr. Ahee, Dr Butan, Dr. Beaubien, Dr. Kamilla, Dr. Hartlieb and Dr. Weir. Dr. Blake the Palliative Team at PRHC and the entire Nursing team and support staff at PRHC thank you very much for making his last few days comfortable, peaceful and allowing him to pass with dignity.
