Raymond VINETTE Obituary

Went to be with his Lord and Saviour, unexpectedly, on Thursday, September 1, 2022 with his beloved wife of 47 years, Lana and loving daughter, Kayley by his side. Ray also leaves behind his son Nicolas (Natacha). Dearly loved grandpa to Henry and Lilliana as well as Ember, Lucien, Jude, Luna, Toby and Kira. Ray is already sadly missed by his siblings; Barb (the late Dick) More, Marie (the late Garry) Kelly, Jack (Mary), Dale (Gerry) McIlmoyl, Steve (Leisa); mother-in-law, Vonnie Taylor; sister-in-law, Debra Carveth (Ed McGregor) and his many nieces and nephews who loved their uncle Ray dearly. Predeceased by his parents, Baptiste and Hazel; father-in- law, Ken Moher and brother-in-law, Rod Moher. Ray was employed for 35 years with Fisher Gauge (now Dynacast) until retirement afforded him more time to devote to his passion on Wednesday mornings at the course with his golfing buddies. He had a fantastic sense of humour and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone; particularly those who were less fortunate than he and Lana. On their thrifting excursions, they would purchase clothing and provide it to people who needed it the most. On many occasions, you could find them helping to feed the needy and volunteering at "Messy Church" at the Salvation Army. There are so many reasons that Ray's absence is already felt and he is missed immensely. A private Celebration of Ray's Life will take place. In memory of Ray and in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Youth Emergency Shelter (YES), Peterborough or to the Good Neighbours Care Centre on Sherbrooke St, Peterborough. Arrangements entrusted to the Nisbett Funeral Home, Peterborough. For online condolences, please visit www.nisbettfuneralhome.com

We were shocked and saddened to hear of Ray's passing. He was a very kind and caring neighbour to my Uncle Murray Foster. When Murray's health was fading Ray was always there offering assistance - grass cutting, snow shoveling, dropping off food, even cat sitting!! He was there to offer conversation when needed. The kindness that both Ray and Lana showed towards Murray will always be remembered. Our thoughts are with Lana and family at this very difficult time.
