Shirley was one of the nicest people I have ever met. I worked along side her at the Health Unit for many years and always enjoyed my interactions with her
She will be sorely missed

So sorry about the loss of your mother.
My mother was also a grad of Peterborough Civic Hospital.
She shared a story with me about how, if it weren’t for Miss Rennie, she wouldn’t be a nurse.
At her most challenging time in training, mom felt like she wanted to leave. Miss Rennie, being her clinical instructress, encouraged, supported and is responsible for her finishing her nursing training.
Hugs to Karen and family.

I am saddened to learn Mrs. Shirley Lowes's journey on earth has ended, though to live in the hearts of those left behind is not to die. Good memories of a former neighbour, and husband Graham (1970) as well. My condolences to the family during this time of bereavement.
