Ted Gustar Obituary

Ted passed peacefully in his 90th year with his daughters by his side. Survived by his wife of 52 years, Lois Gustar (Stewart) and his two loving daughters, Jennifer and Heather Gustar. Also survived by his children by marriage: Kathryn(Kate), Patricia, Roxanne, and Stewart Gaebel. His fifth child by marriage, Janene Gaebel predeceased him. Also survived by nieces and nephews, Kati, Robert, Douglas, and Kim. Ted was a third-generation Port Hoper who grew up on Pine St. South, on the top of the hill, with his two older brothers Philip and Bruce. He was a master craftsman carpenter and worked for years as a contractor. He was most happy when at work on something. And boy could he carry a tune. He shared ownership of Ganaraska Bridge Company with the late Jim Poynton and Harold Martin. Ted is deeply missed by his family. The fine vocals of his favourite, Nat King Cole, express his legacy to us: "The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return."

It´s Jennifer who I remember well and the young photo of your Dad brought back visions of your beautiful family at the PHB church all those years ago. It´s always difficult to farewell a parent and I extend my sympathy to you and family members

Most sincerely
