Thomas SHAUGHNESSY Obituary
Passed away peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, on Sunday, November 20, 2022, in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of Marie Margaret (nee Crowley) for 67 years. Loving father of Mark (Liz), Tom (Brenda), Lori (Pat) Smith, and Mike (Elena). Dear grandfather of Kory (Brittany), and Jake; Hayley and Luke; Bennison and Gena; and Michaela and Abbey. Dear brother of Terry (Margaret) Shaughnessy. Dear great grandfather of Reece, Blakely, and Kinsley. Also missed by sisters-in-law Rita, Marjorie, and Darlene Shaughnessy. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents James Shaughnessy and Loretta Fitzgerald, brothers William (Mary), Patrick (Verna), John, James (Alberta), Justin (Estelle), Reginald (Mary), Harry, Paul and Clare Shaughnessy and a sister Helen Muldowney (Dr. John). Special thanks to the nursing staff at PRHC for the dignity and respect shown to Tom and the family. Visitation at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2022. Funeral Mass at ST. ANNE'S CHURCH on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. Interment at St. Peter's Cemetery. In memory of Tom, donations to the Peterborough Regional Health Centre Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

So sorry Tom and Mike and family. I never had the pleasure of meeting Tom Sr but I see the same wry smile and instant love for humor that his sons shared. Such a legacy to be remembered always.
