Hello Christine and Family.
My wife, Christina, and I just heard from Mary Marling that your husband Tom had recently passed away. Very sorry to hear this sad news and express to you, Christine, our deepest, heartfelt and warmest sympathies,
Tom was a man that without thoughts of personal gratification, contributed so much to academia and education. You and all your family must feel so proud. We enjoyed seeing the pictures of so many happy people and family members at his 90th birthday.
Because of that, we hope that you will find much personal solace and peace of mind and also many happy smiles of times past.
I feel, even though I never met Tom, that I've known him for many years. Christina and I wish you peace, keep well and safe.
Richard Moskal.

I thoroughly enjoyed my annual meeting with Tom on the Board of the Confederation Centre of the Arts in PEI. A wonderfully learned and gracious man, he brought out the best in everyone.

As a former member of the Progressive Conservative Party National Youth Federation in 1970s I remember being tasked with asking Tom Symons to attend a policy conference. He happily agreed. It was wonderful to meet him, a great speaker and so interested in all the young people present. A long time ago but it is something I have always remembered. My thoughts are with you.
