Sorry to hear of Wayne (the Hammer) Joy's passing. Worked with him for many years as a paramedic. Certainly had the firmest handshake ever and knew every type of firewood there was. Our condolences to Heather and all the Joy family. Rest in peace Wayne. Cam and Nadine McFarlane

Wayne was a great mentor, friend, co-worker and supervisor to me.
Wayne's upbeat demeanor and positive energy touched everyone.
I'll always remember that sly wink.
We had some great times, he will be missed.
Thinking of Heather and family at this difficult time.

I had the privilege to work with “Hammer” early in my career. A great pioneer of the Paramedic profession, always positive, with the most memorable hand shake. Warmest thoughts to Heather and family.

I remember working with Wayne in Peterborough many years ago when I became “ambulance attendant “ as we were called back in the 80’s. Wayne was always pleasant and fun to work with. He is also the man with the strongest hand shake ever!
