Allison DRAGO Obituary

Allison Leigh "Ali" Drago, age 38, of Kitchener, passed away suddenly on Friday, May 28, 2021. Ali was born in Kitchener on June 2, 1982. She graduated from St. David High School in 2001 and went on to earn her hairdressing certificate at Voila Institute. Ali managed Red Bloom Salon in Calgary for a few years before working at Studio So Lara on her return to Kitchener. Beloved partner to Rob Schmidt. Dear daughter of Debra Honsberger Wilson (Rick Baskey) and Rick Drago. Loving sister of Nathan Drago (Amanda), Matt Drago (Celine), Holly Bradshaw (Kyp), James and Jason Baskey. Cherished aunt of Lucas, Cameron, Avery, Wednesday and Harrison. She will be sadly missed by aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, colleagues and Rob's family, Irene and Bob Schmidt, Lori Meloche (Mack), Dave Schmidt (Tayler) and nieces and nephews Luke, Belle, Norah and Ian. A private Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 7, 2021, at 1 p.m., with Father Marian Gil officiating. Ali, you were our earth angel, our shining star, loved by so many. Your gift of organ donation has helped dozens of people to improve their life. We love you forever.

A week later and I'm still so shocked over the news of Ali's passing. We met many years ago while both working at Voila. Although we were never close friends, we would always chat up a storm whenever we would see each other over the years. I feel so blessed to have known Ali. To say she was friendly would be an understatement, and she always gave great advice. Her positive energy was always so contagious.
To her closest friends and her family- words can't even begin to describe how incredibly sorry I am for your loss. Im thinking of each and every single one of you.

Heaven has gained one very special angel. I'll never forget you beautiful. I hope your flying high with the angels, laughing and telling jokes. Until we meet again sweet girl. Xo
