August 5, 1924 - March 18, 2022
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Anna Dido, 97, who died peacefully with her daughter, granddaughter and a family friend by her side. Anna is predeceased by her husband Bernhard Didio (2005), and survived by her children and their spouses Hannelore (Anne) Didio-Crawford (James Crawford) and Peter Didio (Virginia Didio). She was a loving grandmother to Jennifer, Jason and Lisa Didio, and Bernard and Susan Crawford. Great-grandmother to Evan, Owen, Emma, Andrew, Paige, Willow, Raven and Julian. Anna was born in 1924, in Putinci, Yugoslavia and immigrated to Canada in 1950. Despite a challenging life, she and Bernhard built a life in Kitchener, ON., where they worked, enjoyed their family, and shared 64 years of marriage. Anna was a member of St. Mary's German Church since 1950, and active in the women's group. Between 2020 and 2022, Anna lived in the care of her daughter making the most of life during the pandemic until her passing. The family is eternally grateful for the ongoing care and support of her doctors Lana Tan and Amelia Yip, nurses, and team of personal support workers provided by Paramed and the LHIN. We would like to express special thanks to Sandra, Anna's favourite RN for her love and compassion, and gratitude to family friends Lois and Heidi, whose support in Anna's last days was appreciated beyond measure. Anna's family will receive relatives and friends from 11:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St. Kitchener (519) 749-8467.
