Anne was born in Truro, Nova Scotia. At 18 years of age, she followed her brother Stan to Kitchener, where she later met and married her husband, John. Anne was a faithful member of the New Apostolic church for over 65 years. She enjoyed spending time with friends from her church family and sang in the choir for many years. In recent years, she especially enjoyed Sunday afternoons in the company of her circle of close friends. Anne also enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, and baking, and many of us shared in her delicious pies, cakes and cookies. In the past eight years, she made several visits to family in the United States, and four visits back to her beloved home of Nova Scotia.
A memorial service for Anne will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the New Apostolic Church, 160 Margaret Avenue, Kitchener. Due to Covid restrictions, a lunch following the service will be postponed until a later date. Those wishing to attend please RSVP your attendance through the funeral home website or by calling, 519-749-8467. Private interment at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the NAC Foreign Extension Inc. would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, Ontario, 519-749-8467).
