After a fighting a courageous battle with Coronavirus-19 and Pneumonia, Anne Moriarty passed away on December 11, 2020 at Grand River Hospital at the age of 79. Anne met Tunney Moriarty, a young RCMP officer and now her beloved husband of 57 years, at William's Lake, B.C after she graduated from Nursing at St. Mary's Hospital. They were engaged three days after meeting and married 8 months later on the 11th of May, 1963 at St. Anne R.C. Parish in Kitchener. They soon welcomed their two sons Patrick (Kris) and Shawn Moriarty. A number of years later, Anne became the Grandma to Michael, Matthew and Andrew Moriarty, and Sophie Robb-Moriarty. Anne and Tunney's careers took them all over Western Canada. Anne worked as a nurse and a Director of Nursing for many years before she retired. She very much enjoyed boating, travelling, golfing and spending time with her family in her leisure. Anne's memory will be cherished by her beloved family and extended family, friends and neighbours. Anne's family will receive relatives and friends from 5:00 PM - 7:45 PM on Sunday, December 27th, 2020 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on December 28, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 173 Lourdes St, Waterloo, ON. Those who wish to attend the visitation and service must RSVP through the funeral home website or by calling the funeral home directly. Please note, capacity is limited and guests must wear a face mask while on the premises.
