Anthony Lizun

It is with deep sadness we announce Tony passed away peacefully with family by his side on Saturday, April 16, 2022, after a 13-month battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Candie for 40 wonderful years. Loving father of Chad (Miran) Lizun and Amber (Justin) Krulicki. Proud grandpa "Doot Doot" of Noah, Cole, and Isaac. Beloved son of Nick and Barb Lizun. Dear brother to Nick (Helen) Lizun, Bill (Lise) Lizun, Kim (Shelley) Lizun, Laurie (Joe) Stokes. Predeceased by his brother Peter Lizun. Tony "Bones" was an avid Boston Bruins fan and lover of all sports. Bones was always the life of the party, even though he would always be late to arrive. Although he had a life full of many accomplishments, he was most proud of being a grandpa to his three grandsons. Tony will be missed by many nieces, nephews and coworkers from Dupar Controls. Tony loved life and will be remembered for his sense of humour, talkative nature and generosity. A tremendous thank you to his care team at the Grand River Cancer Centre and the staff, and volunteers at Hospice Waterloo Region for their wonderful care and compassion. Visitation will take place on Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 2-4 and 7-9. Visitation will continue at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 22, 2022, with a chapel service to follow at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Grand River Cancer Centre or Hospice of Waterloo will be greatly appreciated.
