Barbara Louise Christine BECKER

1952 - 2022

Passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 7, 2022, at her residence, Nithview Community, New Hamburg. Barbara was born 70 years ago on April 11, 1952 in Kitchener, Ontario, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Vera (Heldman) Becker. Barbara is survived by her brothers David, Peter and Edward. Aunt and uncle Nile and Ingrid Heldman, and by her many cousins and friends. Predeceased by her parents Lloyd and Vera and a number of aunts and uncles and cousins. Barbara spent many years participating in the various programs offered by Aldaview Services. These include bagging groceries at Bookers, working in the factory at Klassens, cleaning at Eddly's, to completing various tasks and projects at the workshop to name a few. She formed lifetime friendships with staff from her early schooling at McQuarrie school, staff at Aldaview, staff at Nithview and also with her fellow church members at Zion Philipsburg and a big thank you is extended to all of you that supported her over the years. Her hobbies included bowling, knitting dish cloths, making bracelets, word search puzzles, weekly bingo with her friends, and socializing. Relatives and friends are invited to the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg, on Saturday, November 12, 2022, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. The Funeral service will follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Leanne Darlington officiating. Interment will take place at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Philipsburg. Those wishing to contribute in Barbara's honour are asked to make there donations to Zion Lutheran Church, Philipsburg and can do so by contacting the funeral home.
