It is with heavy hearts that the family of Carol Ann Kawalec announces her peaceful passing on April 23, 2023 in the comfort of her own home.
Carol will be incredibly missed and remembered with love by her daughter Connie (Gary - deceased), and her son Todd (Sabine), as well as her grandchildren Lindsay (Mark), Crystal (Colin), Adam, Sean (Sam), and her brothers Fred (MaryAnn), Ross (Rosie), and Scott (Marci). The bond she shared with her beloved great-granddaughters, Savannah, Joelle and Kendall will forever be cherished and remembered as their favourite Gigi.
Predeceased and reunited with her beloved husband, Ted and her son John, her parents, Fred and Armenia, stepmother, Elizabeth, and her sisters Jean, Beverly, and Mary Jane.
To know Carol was to love her. She was the most loving and caring woman, who had an infectious personality, a generous soul, and someone who would drop anything to be a helping hand to others. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus, an active volunteer at CWL, and part of the Oktoberfest committee to name a few. She was born in Nova Scotia but spent the majority of her life here in Kitchener, heavily involved in the community and once owner of the Conestoga Golf and Country club. She will be remembered by family and friends as a loving, hard-working, dedicated mother/grandmother whose warmth, memory and great love of family will be dearly missed. Carol Ann's memorial service and graveside service will be private and attended by family only. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Grand River Hospital Foundation - Scotland Yards/Kids Cancer Care
