HERTEL, Catherine Passed away at Sunnyside Home on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late John Hertel. Loving mother of Barbara Privatt (Leigh), Gail Hertel and Randy Hertel (Laurie). Proud grandma of Grant (Emily), Geoff (Lynn), Kristin, Chase, Jacob, Liana and 7 great-grandchildren. Survived by her brother David (Jean) Findlay. Predeceased by sisters Margaret and Frances and brothers Bill and Jack. Catherine's family will receive relatives and friends from 12 noon to 12:45 p.m. on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home , 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 where a Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Waterloo-Wellington would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
