1933 - 2022

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Catherine Rose Stanley, born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia on August 7, 1933, passed away December 4, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her sister Hazel Tonary, sons Gary and Jimmy, and daughter Sharon. Predeceased by her husband Norman, daughters Mary and Sharon, sons Kenny and Normie, parents James and Maryann Nicholson, brothers Joe, Henny, Nick, Collie, Jackie, Ambrose, and sisters Peggy and Lillian. She will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren Jamie, Gary, Kenny, Jimmy, Jason, Scotti, Krystle, Sean, Damian, Amanda, Shawn, Robbie, Cathy, Ashley, Alyssa, Jonathan, A.J., and Melissa. She will be sadly missed by her special grandchildren Brody, Abigail, Callie, Kya, Maddix, Jase, Ryder, Olivia, many great grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Special thank you to all the doctors and nurses at St. Mary's Hospital and all family members and friends who loved and supported Catherine. Cremation arrangements entrusted to the Henry Walser Funeral Home (519) 749-8467. A gathering to celebrate Catherine's life will be held at a later date. Interment in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia.
