David Witzel Obituary
Passed away peacefully, but unexpectedly, on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at the age of 65. Beloved husband of Kathy. Predeceased by his parents Morgan and Winnifred and by his brother Donald. Dear brother of Douglas (Jean) of Surrey, B.C. and brother-in-law of Josip Fabina (Ljilja) and Bernarda Petrina (Drago). Loving uncle of Christopher (Laura), Adam (Lorraine), Jordan (Lindsey), Jessica (Kyle), Paul (Rebekah), Ivan, Diane (Leo), Michael (Brianne), Nicholas (Patricia) and great-uncle to many. Fondly remembered by cousins, extended family and friends. Dave's family will receive relatives and friends from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St. Kitchener. Funeral Service in the chapel on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. Please note that if you plan to attend the visitation or service, masks are mandatory and you must RSVP through the funeral home website or by calling (519) 749-8467. Uncle Moe (as I called him) will be greatly missed in my life! He was so kind, loving and supportive! He was there for all the big life events (happy or sad ones) and always brought so much light to everything. I remember him making sure my Halloween candy was safe for consumption (this included Easter candy as well haha), camping with us, enjoying Christmas, Birthdays and all of the other events too! I’ll miss his smile and his jolly laugh and the biggest hugs.
