Dear Elizabeth and Darrin, I am so sorry for your loss. I had the privilege of knowing Dennis through the award that was established in loving memory of Stephen, and later we became friends through our mutual interest in travel and pickle ball! This past fall, I also arranged for Dennis to do the ceremonial kick-off to start off the fall 2022 football season at the University of Waterloo. He said he would never forget it! Dennis was a very special person, and I was honoured to know him.

Personally I could not think of a better date to celebrate Dennis' life than at Vallentine's day. I was lucky enough to be welcomed at Dennis' and Elizabeth's home back in the 90s. A couple, deeply in love with each other, for over 60 years. It was a privilege and pleasure to know him. Occasionally we met in Europe a couple times where Dennis made also friends with my parents. Vallentine's day is as well the wedding day of two of my favorite people in the world, Darrin & Stefan. Stay strong, guys. Thoughts and love and hugs from Tina and me...

We like to think back to the encounters with Dennis and Elizabeth in Germany. We spent happy and relaxed hours with the two, together with Stefan and Darrin.
Unfortunately, Dennis is no longer with us.
We were very impressed by his cordial and warm personality.
Thinking of you, Elizabeth, Darrin and Stefan and sending you our hugs and condolences.

Even not knowing Dennis in person, if he grew up such a lovely person like Darrin, then I can surely say, without any doubt, that he was an extraordinary human being.
My deepest condolences to all the family.

I knew Dennis as a part-time student at UW where he earned a BA and MASc in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and reconnected with him recently on a project I was working on. He was keen, hard-working, and committed, as well as being a lovely person. I wish there were more students like him!

Elizabeth & family. Our lives seem to keep bumping into each other, beginning with our Moms' involvement with Kinnettes, your Mom's leadership in Brownies & our Dads' friendship. Of course our shared love of Drum Corps with Durham Girls. I was so pleased to meet you at the various DG reunions & had a few very nice chats with Denny over more recent years. When I joined ScoutHouse in 2012, many of the older members would ask if I knew you & we would share some memories.
I will send Denny's obituary to the DG former membership & know that all will join me in offering condolences, warm thoughts & healing hugs.

Elizabeth, we are so sad to hear about your, and our loss of Dennis. We recall meeting you both at the Waterloo Tennis Club in the late 60s when we were all learning how to play. Our paths departed in the 70s but, luckily for Jean Ann and for me, the four of us reunited when we moved into Foxboro Green in 2008 and discovered that you lived up the street a few houses away. We now leave Dennis again. Stay safe Elizabeth. Please accept our condolences.
