Dieter Hans Uloth, age 90, slipped peacefully into the arms of his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on January 10, 2023, at Greenwood Court (Stratford). Born in Kessel, Germany, son of the late Fritz and Elisabeth (Luz) Uloth. Beloved husband of Grace. Survived by son, Ralph; daughter-in-law, Debra Cruickshank, grandson, Michael Uloth (Alanna), granddaughter April Cooper (Jeremy) and great-grandchildren Mackenzie and Shawn, as well as many nephews and nieces. Special cousin, Arne Luz (Eva) in Germany; brothers-in-law Dave Fangrad (Ellen), Don Kinsman, Vern Starra (Rita) and sister-in-law Elsbeth Krauck. Besides his parents, Dieter was predeceased by his first wife, Hildegard Martha (Starra) in 1994, and his brother Walter. He worked at Kitchener Printing in Kitchener for 43 years. After retirement he and Grace enjoyed many wonderful trips throughout the world, they volunteered at Greenwood Court for many years, and were actively involved in various ministries of their church. He played the violin like an angel and had a huge library of books. The one that he read most was the Bible. Grateful thanks to the wonderful staff at Greenwood who cared for Dieter so kindly, to Pastor Lloyd and Deacon Fred who visited and encouraged him, to grandson Mike, to family friend Debbie, and to Don Munro at Young Funeral Home for all their help.
Dieter's funeral service will take place on Monday, January 16, 2023 at Elgin Missionary Church, 4192 Perth Line 36, Stratford, ON. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. A mask is required to attend the visitation and funeral. Dieter will be laid to rest in Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener.
