Doris Catherine Higgins

Higgins, Doris Catherine (nee Gildner) Peacefully, in the loving embrace of the Stirling Heights Long Term Care Family, on Monday, October 14, 2019, a long-time resident of North Dumfries Twp, in her 97th year. Beloved wife to the late E.L. ""Ted"" Higgins (2011); loving mother to the late EW ""Ted"" Higgins (1984); dear sister-in-law to Colleen Gildner, Joyce Taivainen (Higgins) and Evelyn Higgins. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Leonard and Rosella Gildner; her brothers Wilbert (Marguerite), Earl, William (Freda), and Donald and in-laws Fred (Helen) Higgins, Nora (Joe) Mannion, Tom (Shirley) Higgins, John (Hazel) Higgins, William Higgins and Pentti Taivainen. In keeping with Doris' wishes, cremation has taken place with interment Ayr Cemetery on Saturday, November 2nd at 1:00 p.m. Friends are welcomed to the Ayr Chapel, Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 183 Northumberland St., Ayr on Saturday, November 2, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. for a memorial reception.
