Edward WAHRBICKLER Obituary

Of Port Elgin, formerly of Kitchener, Ontario, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023, in his 85th year. Husband of the late Arlene Wahrbickler (2009). Father of the late Jackie Bennett (2018), Janice Donald, Chuck Wahrbickler, and Christine Monk of Kitchener, Ontario. Survived by his sister, Audrey (Audro) Brox of Midhurst, Ontario. Predeceased by his parents, Peter and Margaret (Peggy) Wahrbickler. Ed will be dearly missed and remembered by his many nieces and nephews, nine grandchildren, and a countless number of friends and neighbours. A special mention to Art and Edna Helm, and Brian Recoski, cherished friends of Ed and his family throughout Ed's battle with his many recent health issues. Many will remember Ed and his sense of humour, grit, and determination. Ed coached several hockey teams with the Kitchener Minor Hockey Association, and more recently, an armchair "head coach" to a number of NHL teams. Ed was an avid fisherman with a love of the outdoors. If desired, donations may be made to Kitchener Minor Hockey Association. Arrangements entrusted to Eagleson Funeral Home, Southampton, (519) 797-2085. A private service for family members and close friends will be held as per Ed's request.
