Edwina LEHAN

Edwina passed away peacefully, in the early morning hours of Wednesday, June 23, 2022, in her 93rd year. Daughter of the late Vera and Edward Sheppard. Predeceased by her beloved husband Donald. Loving mother to Tim (Anne), Jeff (Justine) and Kevin (Carol). Imaginative, witty and whip smart Grandmother to Michael, Sean, Megan, Emily, Claire, Kieran, Nancy, Heather and Ben - each of whom will carry her memory forward. Great-grandmother or affectionately known as "Super Grandma" to Kelvin, Sufyan, Colleen, Noor, Rachel and Katherine. As one of Toronto's first female principals, a children's book writer, a painter, and a lover of singing and music, Edwina was a force to be reckoned with. She was endlessly supportive of the arts, quick to laugh and an absolutely terrible cook. Her kindness, enthusiasm for life and love for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will be deeply missed. However, her legacy will endure. We are indebted to the excellent staff at Terrace on the Square and nursing staff at Riverside whose compassionate care was greatly appreciated. Edwina's family encourages family and friends to consider a donation to a charity of their choosing.
