Eileen CLARKSON

Passed away at the Village of Winston Park on Friday, May 26, 2023, at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late William (Bill) Clarkson. Loving mother of Brent Clarkson (Carla Clarkson-Ladd) and Greg Clarkson (Gail). Proud grandma of Alyssa (Garth), Geoff (Kirsten), Alex (Stephanie), Katharine, Ellen (Iain) and great-grandmother of Grace, Willow, Lillian, Emma, Liliana and Callum. Predeceased by her grandson Brandon and siblings Dorothy, Chester, Cecil, Viola and Glenn. Eileen was born on a farm in Saskatchewan in the Great Depression. She was not fond of the farm (going to school miles away with a horse and sled and many blankets) and was happy when the family moved to Grenfell. There she met her future husband, Bill in high school. Banker Bill was transferred often and amongst the places they lived were Winnipeg, Swift Current, Montreal, Kitchener and Toronto. Eileen loved to bake and to spend time in her garden. She profoundly disliked the cold and after retirement, spent her winters in Naples, Florida. But most of all, she cherished and loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Private cremation arrangements entrusted to the Henry Walser Funeral Home (519 749-8467).
