Eva SALAVERRIA Obituary

SALAVERRIA, Eva Eva Bernardina Salaverria, 87, of Stratford passed away peacefully at her residence, with family by her side, on Monday, April 30, 2018. She was born in San Miguel, El Salvador on February 11, 1931 a daughter of the late Ildefonso and Maria Luisa (Salmeron) Hernandez. Eva was a very talented seamstress. Eva was predeceased by her husband, Jose ""Modesto"" Salaverria on December 22, 2004; her son, Juan Salaverria; her brother, Catalina Salmeron, her sister, Angela Salmeron and her brothers-in-law, Humberto Bermudez and Abel Alvarez. She is survived by four children, Irma Salaverria of New York, Edin Salaverria, Edith and husband Joaquin Vallejos, Delma and husband Luis Hernandez, all of Stratford; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Jorge and wife Anna Maria Salmeron; three sisters, Dora Salmeron, Marina Bermudez and Ernestine Alvarez. Relatives and friends will be received in the Francis Funeral Home, 77 Woodstock Street North, Tavistock on Thursday from 6-9 p.m. and Friday from 6-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the East Zorra Mennonite Church, 677044 Line 16, R.R. 1, Tavistock on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 11 a.m. Pastor Jesus Elizondo of Mision Cristiana Voz De Restauracion Kitchener will officiate. Interment in East Zorra Mennonite Cemetery, 16th Line. Reception following. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Mision Cristiana Voz De Restauracion, 68 Biehn Drive, Kitchener would be appreciated and may be made through the Francis Funeral Home by calling 519-655-2431.
