Evelyn HAFFNER Obituary

Evelyn passed away peacefully, of natural causes, at her home in Waterloo, on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at the age of 83. Predeceased by her beloved husband Raymond Haffner in 2007. Evelyn is survived and loved by her children Gary Haffner and wife Kelly, Sue Gatcke and husband Idalio, Brian Haffner and wife Patti, grandchildren Tiffany, Cameron, Trina, Tyler, Krista, Nicole, and Robert, 14 great-grandchildren, and brother Ken Hergott and wife Gloria. Evelyn is also remembered by in-laws Joyce Hergott, Lloyd (Celeste), Mary, Monica, and Bob. Predeceased by her parents Irvin and Dolores (nee Zuber) Hergott, brothers Ralph Hergott and Robert Hergott, and in-laws Dorothy (George), Audrey (Harold), Bill, Claude, Diane, and Carol Ann. Evelyn was a proud member of the CWL of St. Agnes RC Church in Waterloo and the Waterloo Knights of Columbus. To attend the visitation and/or funeral mass, please wear a face mask, observe physical distancing, and register (RSVP) by contacting the funeral home at www.erbgood.com or 519-745-8445. Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Sunday, January 9, 2022 from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Agnes RC Church, 75 Bluevale St. N., Waterloo on Monday, January 10, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. We are so sorry to hear of this. Evelyn was a wonderful group leader for her travel group and brought many smiles, laughter and happy memories to her travellers. We all enjoyed working with her. Deepest condolences from everyone at Great Canadian Holidays.
