Ewald KIRSCHKE Obituary

Passed away peacefully surrounded with the love his of family on October 31, 2022 at St. Mary's Hospital at the age of 83. Ewald was the loving husband of 48 years to Rossana Kirschke. Beloved father to his three children, Valentina (Zsolt Prokai), Nephi and Daniel (Adelina). Ewald was dearly known as Papa Wally to his seven grandchildren, Amy, Paulina, Laxmy, Elena, Niko, Bianka and Stefan. He is survived by his sister, Edith Thater of Germany and is predeceased by his brothers, Siegfried, Manfred and Heinz also of Germany. Ewald also leaves behind his nephews Andrea and Michael Swinkendorf, and Michael Kirschke and their families. He will be missed by his many extended family members in Canada, Mexico and Germany. He will also be remembered dearly by the multitude of friends and customers he made since the 1960s working at the Frederick St. Mall Barber Shop. Ewald's family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, November 6, 2022 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Visitation will continue on Monday, November 7, 2022 from 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM with a funeral to follow at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints , 10 Lorraine Ave, Kitchener, ON . Interment at Parkview Cemetery.
