Ewald Nowak Obituary
Passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at Freeport Hospital at the age of 84. Beloved husband to Heidi Nowak (Nee Kroeger). Loving father of Carsten Nowak, Michael Steckel (Gisela), Thomas Steckel (Julie) and Natascha Steckel. Grandfather of Karl and Klaudia. Predeceased by his brother and sister in Germany, brother in Canada and brother in the US. Ewald was a long term and Honorary member of The Concordia Club in Kitchener and an avid soccer player. He made a lasting impact on those whom he coached over the years. He was a positive, humourous person and he was known for his big heart. He will be missed by many.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nursing staff at Grand River and Freeport Hospitals for their compassion and care through these difficult days.
Cremation has taken place. A private interment will be held at Woodland Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
