Frances Gillies Obituary
Passed away peacefully with loving family at her side on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at the age of 95. Dearly loved mother of Patrick Gillies (Maryanne Black), Margaret Anderton (Ian), John Gillies (Peggy Reynolds), Bruce Gillies (Joan) and Joe Gillies (Liz). Nanny Frannie leaves precious memories with her grandchildren; Paul and Brian Anderton, Tyler, Lauren, Derek, Shannon, Mark, Adam, Thomas and Emily Gillies, and great-grandchildren; Kayla, Zach, Hannah, Brooklyn, Trent, Jacoby, Ross, Colin, Emmett, Mira and Rose. Predeceased by her parents Cornelius and Cecilia Dougherty, her husband Claire (March 28, 2013) and her siblings; Patrick (WWII), Sheila MacLean, and Barbara Sanvido. Cremation has taken place, a memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Clement's Parish, 745 Duke St, Cambridge, on Friday, August 26th at 10:00 a.m., interment of ashes will be at St. Clement's Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the charity of one's choice are greatly appreciated.
