Georgios POULOS

Passed away, with family by his side, on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at St. Mary's Hospital in Kitchener at the age of 88. Beloved husband of 45 years of the late Giannoula (2015). Loving father of Evangelos (Karla) and Vasilios. Proud Papou of Georgios Matteo, Yiannoula Alexandra and Alexandros Augustus. Fondly remembered by extended family and friends. Predeceased by parents, Spyros and Konstantina, and siblings, Olga (Grigoris), Ioannis (Athena) and Stavros (Olympia). The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff and care partners at The Village of Winston Park - Emma's Neighbourhood for their continuous support and care over the past seven years. A sincere thank you to the doctors, nurses and support staff at St. Mary's and Grand River Hospitals. Georgios' family will receive relatives and friends from 5 - 8 p.m. (Trisagion at 7:00 p.m.) on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 24, 2023 at Sts. Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 527 Bridgeport Rd, Kitchener. Interment Parkview Cemetery followed by a reception at Golf's Steak House. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Sts. Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church or the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
