Geraldine Mae HALICKI

1928 - 2022

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many, Geraldine Mae Halicki (nee Bell) passed away peacefully on September 6, 2022. Gerri lived a full and wonderful life leaving us just one day shy of her 94th birthday. She was born in Guernsey Cove, PEI, on September 7, 1928, where she lived with her family until moving to Preston, Ontario, in 1948. That is where she met her husband, Joseph Halicki, and together raised their family in Preston.
Gerri was incredibly social, making friends everywhere she went. She was friendly to all and always open to sharing stories of her life. She was an avid gardener, often delivering her garden vegetables to her family and friends. She was a decades-long member of Network TwentyOne. As an avid reader, Gerri always had multiple books on the go and wrote a message in every book she gifted. Gerri blessed so many people and will be missed greatly by her children, Joseph (Cathy), Stephen (Kobie), Donna, Cheryl (Gary), her four grandchildren, Ceara (Lucas), Sarah, Bree, Elizabeth (Andrew), her five great-grandchildren, Audrey, Harper, Jackson, Joseph, and Winona, along with her siblings Gloria, Margie, Manton, and Laughlin. As well as her extended family of Lynne, Sharon, Barb, John, and Darrell. She was predeceased by her devoted husband Joe, her parents John Bell and Jessie Stewart, brothers Nelson and Alton, and her grandson Philip Lambke. A private family burial will be taking place at a later date.
