GROMINSKY, Hedwig Passed away peacefully, at home, surrounded by family on October 9 at the age of 91, on the same day, 12 years later, on the anniversary of her loving husband's death, Alexander (2006). Loving mother to Philip and Gerri, Anita and Jim, Sylvia and Gary, Paul and Penny, Peter and Lisa, James and Melody, Monica and Gus and Melina and Craig. Loving Nana to 23 grand- children and 21 great-grandchildren and her best friend Tigger. Hedwig was not shy about what was most important in life; faith and family. She embraced all of us with endless love and kindness. She had a gentle spirit, warm heart and beautiful smile. She had an open-door policy and made her home a home for all. Mom handled her illness with grace and dignity, never wanting to be a burden to anyone. Her strong belief in prayer and the love of her family helped her in her journey. Hedwig's family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. at
Henry Walser Funeral Home, on Sunday, October 14. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anne's R.C. Church (268 East Ave., Kitchener) at 10 a.m. on Monday, October 15, 2018 with Fr. Peter Meyer officiating. A reception at Golf's Steakhouse immediately following the funeral mass. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the St. Anne's St. Vincent de Paul would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
