With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Howard Riggs in his 65th year at Grand River Hospital on May 20, 2021. Howard was the loving husband of Emily Riggs (nee: Pocza) of Waterloo. Loving father of Natalie Alberastine (Tim) of St. Marys and Stephanie Allin (Kevin) of Port Elgin, Caring stepdad to Scott Perchaluk (Cara) of Cambridge and Mark Perchaluk (Jordan) of Kitchener. Loving grandfather/Nagypapa of Derek, Evelyn, Colin, Heidi, Sam, Max, Reid and Logan. Howard will be fondly remembered by his brothers Glenn (Heather), Dennis (Mary), and several nieces and nephews and his best friend and "Big Bro" Brian Wood. Howard will also be sadly missed by his little buddy Benji, who hasn't left his side for the past year. Predeceased by his parents Bill and June Riggs. A private family celebration of Howard's life was held and cremation has taken place. A special thank you to Dr. Matthew Kilmurry for his ongoing support in the past year. Donations to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre or St. Mary's Hospital, Cardiac Care would be appreciated by the family.
