Ivan "Johnny" MIKULJAN

Passed away peacefully at home, with family by his side, on Friday, August 26, 2022 at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Lili for 54 years. Loving father of John (Kathleen) Mikuljan and Kathy (Robert) Gaspar. Cherished Deda of Alyssa, Michael, Ryan Mikuljan and Joshua Gaspar. Dear cousin of Josip Mikuljan and his son Joseph. Predeceased by parents, Katarina and Andro Mikuljan and parents-in-law, Ivan and Anna Listar. Ivan came to Canada in 1958 in search of a more promising future. When he moved from Toronto to Kitchener, he found his life mate and best friend, Lili. He enjoyed the time he spent in the great outdoors, hunting and fishing with friends. Ivan had great personal faith and courage as well as compassion and generosity for anyone who was fortunate enough to become part of his life. Ivan's family will receive relatives and friends from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 28, 2022 (Holy Rosary at 7:30 p.m.) at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Funeral Mass will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 29, 2022 at Holy Family Croatian Roman Catholic Church, 180 Schweitzer Street, Kitchener. Interment at Woodland Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Marija Magdalena Church in Ivan's native village of Donja Kupcina in Croatia, Holy Family Croatian Parish, Kitchener or St. Mary's Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
