James Hamill

Passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at the age of 81. Loving and devoted husband of Bonnie (nee Teather). Cherished father of James Alexander Hamill (Lisa) and Courtney Elizabeth Hamill (Mike Gray). Proud grandfather of Logan, Riley, Lucas, Brooklynn and Lincoln. Cherished brother of Diane Jones (Robert) as well as sisters-in-law Anne Hastings and Helen Hamill and brother-in-law Jim Teather. James will also be sadly missed by his long-time best friend Eric Karn as well and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents James and Pearl Hamill, siblings David, Michael, Evelyn, Corine and infant sister Virginia. James was a wonderful man who loved his family and friends. He enjoyed playing cards and was a longtime employee of Uniroyal Tires. Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St., Cambridge where family and friends will be received on Wednesday March 23, 2022, from 10 a.m., until the time of the funeral service to be to be held in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Breslau, following a reception at the funeral home. As an expression of sympathy, donations made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or St. Paul's Lutheran Church would be greatly appreciated by the family. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the palliative team, Dr. Holling and staff, PSW's and Care Partners who were like family.
