McILROY, James Surrounded by the love of his family, at Royal Terrace, Palmerston, on Sunday, April 28, 2019, Mr. James Howard 'Jim' McIlroy of Palmerston, at the age of 100 years. Husband of the late Dorothy (Coates) McIlroy. Father of Robert McIlroy and his wife Rev. Diane Hilpert-McIlroy of Nipigon, and Margaret Anderson of Palmerston. Grandfather of Lee Anne McIlroy, Bradley McIlroy, Crystal Anderson, Trevor (Pamela) Hilpert, Trent (Tracy) Hilpert, and Dallas (Steve) Hall, and great-grandfather of Tyler and Kyle Sage, Devlin Anderson, Kaileigh, Connor, and McKenna Hilpert, Avery, Blythe, and Shea Hilpert, and Sloan and Aspen Hilpert. Remembered also by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Robert and Anna (Hood) McIlroy, sisters Nora Smith, Marguerite Rapp, Melissa Elliott, Thelma Ellison, and by his brothers Vernon McIlroy and Alvin McIlroy. Visitation will be held at the Palmerston Evangelical Missionary Church on Wednesday, May 1st from 12 noon until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment in Palmerston Cemetery. Memorial donations to Palmerston Evangelical Missionary Church, or the Gideon's would be appreciated, and may be made through the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston.
