RETTINGER, James (Jim) Passed away peacefully, with his family by his side after a long struggle with Parkinson's and Lewy Body Dementia, on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at his home at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Jeannette for 52 years. Loving Dad to Jeff (Maureen), Joyce Craig and Jody. Cherished Grandpa to Victoria, Sarah and Michelle; Heidi and Jamie; Ryan, Rachael and Rose. He is survived by his sisters Mildred, Marjorie and Kathleen. Predeceased by his parents Alfred and Rita and brothers Herb and Dave. He will also be dearly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Jim was a longtime carpenter and employee of Traugott Construction for over 50 years. Jim's family will receive relatives and friends from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, November 10, 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home , 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Visitation will continue from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2017 with a Memorial Service in the Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow at the funeral home.
