Janet Lyn BANKS

Janet Lyn Banks (nee Saunders) of Kitchener, Ontario passed away from cancer on September 21, 2021 at Freeport Hospital. She was 73. Janet was the beloved wife of William Banks. She was the loving mother of Melany and Scott and his partner Becky. She was the adoring grandmother of their daughter, Lily. She was the caring sister of Carroll Porubovic. She was the loving auntie of Lorn and Paula Baird, Michael Banks, and Krista Vasiga and her daughter, Natalie. She was the kind sister-in-law of John and Mary Anne Banks. Janet was predeceased by her parents Harold and Joyce
Saunders.
Janet was a brilliant artist and an active member of the Button Factory in Waterloo. Previously, she was an ESL teacher. She reminded us often that "all things are working out for the best." Cremation has taken place and a private memorial gathering will be held at a later date. Janet was a supporter of the David Suzuki Foundation and donations in her memory would be appreciated.
