Jeanine Kraemer-Beaupre Obituary
With deep regret we announce the peaceful passing of Jeanine Cecile Kraemer Beaupre on Monday, April 4, 2022 at her home in Mariatown ON with her husband Ron, and family members, by her side.
She was predeceased by parents Leo and Marjorie (Lauber) Kraemer and infant sister, Nancy.
Deeply missed by siblings Bernadine Giovinazzo (Jim) of Kitchener, George (Penny) of Moncton, Chris (Stephanie), Dan (Joanne) of Kitchener and Merri Kraemer Slagell (Eugene) of Ayr. Also mourning her loss are stepsons Brian (Kara) and their children Danica and Isabelle, and Craig (Kristen) Beaupre. Jeanine was a respected friend and host to many nieces and nephews: Monica (Marvin), Angela (Dan), and Mike (Tanya); Nancy (Brad), Rich (Viktoria) and Gary (Krista); Stephanie (Tim), and Tim (Michele); Dustin, Laura and Jackie.
Jeanine's many life adventures began in her teens, attending 50's era concerts at the "Aud" with cousin Carlene Miller. The autographs of legends Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Buddy Holly, and Cliff Richards were fond possessions and perhaps acted as a precursor to her affinity for live performances of all kinds, and dancing.
Extensive trips, that included marking her 100th scuba dive, were immensely enjoyed by Jeanine and Ron in retirement. Love of cross-cultural experiences, history, art, and faith and justice issues, all played a part that was reflected in her career teaching French, Spanish and especially her ESL students at Laurentian High School in Ottawa. Part of Jeanine's commitment to her students resulted in the implementation of a soccer program. Their appreciation was evident in several life-long friendships.
Also in retirement she was able to share in Ron's enthusiasm for Great Lakes marine history and life on the St. Lawrence River. Many hours were spent viewing the breath-taking sunrises, natural vistas, and passing ships, as seen from their balcony at Mariatown.
Cremation has taken place. Friends may call at the Marsden McLaughlin Funeral Home in Williamsburg on Friday, April 29th from 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at St. James Anglican Church, Morrisburg, on Saturday, April 30th at 1 p.m. followed by a luncheon at the Royal Canadian Legion in Morrisburg.
