Johann SEIDEMANN Obituary
July 22, 1937 - April 13, 2023
Passed away at St. Mary's General Hospital, Kitchener, on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at the age of 85 years. Loving husband and best friend of Gisela for 55 years. He is survived by his sister Grete, and many nieces and nephews in Germany. Hans was born in Hungary. In 1946, the family fled Hungary for Germany. As a teenager he began an apprenticeship in the coal mines until 1960. He then began a new apprenticeship as a fitter/welder. In 1967, he married Gisela and during their honeymoon they sailed from Holland to Canada. They began their new life together in Kitchener. In his retirement, Hans loved golfing, gardening, playing table tennis, and travelling. Hans and Gisela were fortunate to travel to many different countries over the years. Hans was a member of the Concordia Club for 50 years. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations in Johann's memory would be appreciated to the Alzheimer Society of Waterloo Wellington, 831 Frederick St., Kitchener, ON, N2B 2B4, or to a Charity of Your Choice.
