John KALBFLEISCH Obituary

Jack, a true story of a life lived, not lost.
John Harold Kalbfleisch, (Jack) of Port Perry, in his 90th year, born in Kitchener Ontario, passed away on May 12, 2021.
His humble beginnings, his tenacious spirit: he was a self taught determined man whose work ethic was second to none. His 30+ year career in the food business started as a milkman for Silverwoods Dairy and he retired as President of Reckitt and Coleman Canada, where he proudly marketed and sold leading brands like French's mustard.
Jack had a love of music and everything barbershop style, along with a never ending social grace, coupled with immense hospitality and a charismatic welcoming nature. He was a better than average golfer, and shared the same number of Holes in One as his beloved Patricia (two). He was an avid fisherman, a coach, a mentor, a musician, a heck of a Bass, and an actor, just to name a few of his endless talents. He is predeceased by his parents Norman and Elizabeth Kalbfleisch, sister Phyllis and brother Norm (Wanda).
Of all his accomplishments, if you asked Jack what he was most proud of, it would be his family. His beloved wife of 65 years Patricia Kalbfleisch (nee Hertzberger), his cherished children John (Sharon), Mark (Colleen) and Kelly (Mark) and adored Papa to Jacqueline (Jay), Andrew (Brianna), Scott, Jessica (Jeff) and Liana (Jason). Great grandpa to Julia, Ryley, Jonas, Cole and Olivia and one soon to come addition.
Pat and family are so appreciative with the condolence messages and stories shared in emails, social media posts, cards and phone calls. Also appreciative of the flowers, meals and waves from the Canterbury community from the front walk the last few days.
Virtual Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 2p.m. To access this link on the day of the service, please visit www.lowandlow.ca. At some point, we will gather together to celebrate his life as he would have wished. If desired, donations in memory of Jack may be made to Defeat Multiple System Atrophy Canada.
Jack left this Earth suddenly, swiftly and silently while sitting in his favorite chair watching golf with his little buddy Maggie. To know him was to love him and like everything he did in life he loved large. He will be dearly missed by friends and family. Arrangements entrusted to Low and Low Funeral Home, 1763 Reach Street, Port Perry (905-985-7331).
