It is with deep sadness that we announce John's passing after a short and courageous battle with COVID.
John will be missed by his wife and partner in everything for 57 years, Linda, whom he loved beyond belief. He will be fondly remembered as their gentle giant and hero by his children, Robert (Cindy) and Cathy (Paul). With every pun and tease to be heard in the future, his memory will be cherished by his grand- daughter, Hannah.
John is lovingly remembered as big brother to Harold (Kathy), Pat (Paul), Dorothy (Dan), Dennis, Margaret (Ron) and Marian (Steve). He will also be missed by many cousins, nieces and nephews, golfing buddies and dear friends.
John will be reunited with his parents, Howard and Elizabeth Weber and in-laws, Fred and Jean Fiddler.
John worked for many years with the Province of Ontario in the property assessment office. After retirement, John and Linda made the most of life by travelling near and far. John enjoyed his passion for golf, his coffee visits with his friends and his adventures through the countryside with Linda.
As per John's wishes, there will be no service or visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Mary's Hospital Foundation-Cardiac Care would be greatly appreciated by the family (cards available at the Henry Walser Funeral Home).
John did all he could throughout his life to take care of others and protect those around him. Thank you to the doctors and nurses who continue to battle this crazy virus to do the same. Visit www.henrywalser.com to view John's memorial.

Sincere sympathy to you, Linda, and your family. I will alway remember the fun times we had in our neighbourhood as young couples with young children, those Jaycee parties we had, and our vacation together in the Bahamas! He was a great guy who will be missed by many.

My sincere condolences to Linda & your family. I have many fond memories of our Jaycee lives together many years ago. Linda, John & you were so much fun to hang out with & work in the community together. I miss those fun times. You will miss John so much but cherish the memories of the fun times. The photo in the obit with that twinkle in his eye is so much the John I remember. My thoughts are with you at this very sad time. Hugs to all.
