John Albert WILSON

Passed away peacefully, with family by his side, on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Freeport Hospital in Kitchener at the age of 83. Loving father of Jennifer Tessier (Gary) and Jill Wilson. Cherished Paw of Steven Tessier (Emily) and Marley Tessier. Dear brother of Joan Hill (Jack). Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews, Marilyn Maw (Cameron), Ron Hill (Darla Downey), Vic Hill (Sylvia), Pam Lamond (Jeff), Patty Bunton (Mark Waugh), Allison Bunton (Patrick Holmes), and by his cousin, Arnold Bailey. Special uncle to a number of great and great-great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Albert and Velma Wilson, and his sister Barbara Bunton (Jim). John was a retired principal with the Waterloo Region District School Board, a longstanding member of Forest Hill United Church, a volunteer driver with Meals on Wheels, and a member of two Kiwanis clubs. John's family will receive relatives and friends from 12:00-12:45 p.m. on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, (519) 749-8467. Memorial service will take place in the chapel at 1:00 p.m., followed by a reception. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Forest Hill United Church or K-W Kiwanis Club would be appreciated by the family (cards available through the funeral home).
