Keith BALDREY Obituary

Keith was born August 16, 1949, in Galt, Ontario, to Frederick and Edith (Hearn) Baldrey. He attended Central and Lincoln public schools and graduated from Galt CI&VS in 1967. Keith spent many years in the Scouts Canada organization, attaining a Queen's Scout award and Bushman's thong in 1966. He spent a number of years as a cub or scout leader later in life. Keith enjoyed curling and roller-skating with Linda his wife who he married in 1974. He is survived by Linda and their children Christopher (Kerri) and Tracey. Also survived by one brother John, and many cousins. Keith was employed by Babcock and Wilcox for 40+ years following in the footsteps of his father. He also enjoyed gardening, cooking, and, while able, other tasks around the house. Keith was very fond of gospel music and enjoyed singing the bass in barbershop acapella chorus and quartet situations, as well as church music teams. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Pulmonary Fibrosis association or Mill Crossing church would be greatly appreciated. Cremation has already taken place as has a private graveside service.

Although I did not know Keith, he was just two years older than me. When he went to Lincoln Ave. I went to Stewart Ave. We were a small town then, and I have since moved to Woodstock. God bless all the family. Susan Lindhorst

Linda and family, I was so saddened to learn about Keith´s passing from another scouting friend. It brought up many memories of scouting events, camping and stories about the curling club. I remember him from B&W also. You and your family will be in our thoughts.

I have many fond memories from many years working with Keith and when he and Chris sang with the Twin City Harmonizers.

On behalf of St Luke's Anglican Church, Cambridge I send condolences to Keith's family. November 1st I had a very brief phone call with him, just wondering how he was. May he rest in peace and light perpetual shine upon him. The Rev'd Julia Gill, interim priest at St Luke's.
