Peacefully on July 29, 2022, with his beloved daughter by his side, Lowrie passed away in his 90th year. Reunited with his loving wife Helen (predeceased 2018). It's likely they are enjoying a good laugh, a cold beer and some good ol' country music together now. Predeceased by his father Alfred Spencer Green (Clara) and his mother Viola Pike. Missing him is the family he left behind; daughter Lois (Keith) Kennell, his favourite granddaughter Sheri West, and the best great grandsons Hunter and Nash West. As well, many extended family members and friends who felt more like family, including his favourite dog, Henry. A private family graveside service was held at Memory Gardens, Breslau. From humble beginnings in Tillsonburg, Ontario to being King of the Road, long haul trucking from coast to coast in all of North America was his life for most of his life. A lot of this time was spent working with Baird Moving and Storage, and he always spoke so highly of their integrity and character, qualities that he had himself, and valued in others. Even into his retirement years Baird treated him as family. Lowrie knew every place you could imagine going to and could draw you a map to get there. He was a fountain of knowledge; from anything mechanical to wood working to home repairs. If you had a problem, he always had a solution. Forever working in his garage and spending time with his family, there wasn't anything he wouldn't do to help someone out. Lowrie was funny, loving and kind, with an amazing sense of humour; we will miss him immensely. Special thanks to the loving staff at Chartwell Terrace on the Square, Sunnyside, and St Mary's Hospital; thank you for taking such good care of him.
In lieu of flowers, donations to The Parkinson's Society of Southwestern Ontario or The Kidney Foundation (Waterloo Chapter) would be greatly appreciated. If so desired a book on online condolences may be signed at

Keep on Truckin' Dad, Bopie and Big Papa; hope there's not too much traffic in the sky! Love you so much.
