Mario Medica

Passed away peacefully with family by his side on March 22, 2022, at Trinity Care Center at the age of 85. Loving husband of Olga Medica for 61 years. Father of Branko Medica (Boza Golf) Grandfather to Stephanie (Trevor), Katrina (Devon), and Nicholas (Tavia). Great-grand-father to Jace and Talia. Predeceased by parents and siblings - Maria, Ivan, Frank, Tony, Rudy, Milka, and Ana. He is survived by his sister-in-law Petrina Stipanovic. Mario was born in Italy and immigrated in 1966 to Canada with his wife and his son. He worked as a bricklayer and was a member of the Sava Club. He enjoyed playing bocce ball. He was a man of few words and often played the accordion and sang to his grandchildren. He was an avid wine-maker. He was a devoted husband, father and grandpa, and great-grandpa. Mario's family will receive relatives and friends from 12:00 p.m. - 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A funeral mass will follow in the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery. For those who are unable to join the service in person Mario's family invites you to view the service online through the funeral home website. Mario's family would like to thank the doctors, nurses & staff at Trinity Care Center for their compassionate care.
